College Algebra- Analysis of the behavior and nature of functions including polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, power, absolute value, and piecewise-defined functions; systems of equations, modeling and solving real world problems. Additional topics may include matrices, combinatorics, sequences and series, and conics.
Algebra 3-4 reviews and advances the algebraic concepts students were exposed to Alg 1-2 and develops the foundation for much of the mathematics base they will need in high school, whether it be for continued math courses or applied sciences like chemistry and physics. Algebra 1-2 is aligned with the Arizona College and Career Ready Standards and gears its focus towards success on the AZ Merit exam administered in the Spring.
